Monthly HCP Spotlight: Dr. Sheryl Ziegler, Oncologist
By Emily Pereira

We’ve started a monthly HCP Spotlight program to highlight some of our amazing crowd members.  Our first HCP Spotlight is Dr. Sheryl Ziegler, an oncologist who has been practicing for 16 years and has been a Crowd member for seven years. She currently lives in Indiana but is originally from the Chicago area. Dr. Ziegler practices in an independent group that consists of seven medical oncologists and two radiation oncologists.  She is married and has a 10-year-old son.

Q: Why did you go into medicine?

A: I had a great mentor who exposed me to medicine after graduating from undergrad and fell in love with it.

Q: Why did you choose your specialty?

A: I love forming a relationship with patients and felt like oncology was a great fit for me.

Q: What are the best parts about being an InCrowd member?

A: I really enjoy learning new things. I sometimes will learn about new data coming out of clinical trials before they are public. Also, I can’t deny that I like the money.  They are generally fast quick surveys.
