HOW WILL MY PERSONAL INFORMATION BE USED?
Your privacy is important to us. We will only use your personal information to validate that you are a licensed healthcare professional and to provide you with compensation. Otherwise, you will be known only by your unique user ID. Your employer’s name, your contact information, or any other personally identifiable information will not be released or associated with the responses you provide unless with prior notice and explicit consent. At any time, you may request your personal details be deleted or downloaded.
HOW IS INCROWD RELATED TO OPINIONSITE AND GLOCALPANEL?
InCrowd’s sister brand is OpinionSite. In May 2024 GlocalPanel was acquired under the OpinionSite brand. InCrowd and OpinionSite are brands within the Apollo Intelligence family of companies.
HOW DO I BECOME A MEMBER?
Our research compensates you to share your expertise and experience through surveys, moderated discussions, and sponsored panels. Your insights are then used to improve medical products and improve patient care.
WHICH MEDICAL PROFESSIONALS ARE ELIGIBLE?
In the United States, we provide a platform to a large number of healthcare professions and dozens of specialty areas to participate in research. Outside the US, we accept physicians, Lab Titles, and other healthcare titles.
I DIDN’T PASS VALIDATION, WHAT DO I DO?
All registrants are put through a multi-level validation program that makes sure we have all the necessary information to confirm your registration. Sometimes you might leave something out or we don’t have enough long-term information to confirm you. You can reach out to support@incrowdnow.com if you encounter any issues with your registration.
HOW DO I PARTICIPATE IN A SURVEY?
Once your account is activated, you will receive invitations via messages@incrowdanswers.com for surveys that we think are a good fit for your area of expertise. You will also receive a text message that a new Survey or Interview opportunity is available if you are opted into SMS alerts. You can reply STOP to a text message alerting you to a new Survey or Interview opportunity at any time to opt out of SMS notifications or manage it through your account. You can also find surveys under the “Waiting Surveys’ section of the home screen of your account.
WHY ARE SURVEYS CONDUCTED?
Our research partners are developing new or improving existing products and treatments in the life science industry and as part of their research we work with them to collect your valuable insights of these treatments. Through this collaboration we focus on the shared goal of improvement of patient outcomes.
HOW DOES THE SUNSHINE ACT IMPACT MY PARTICIPATION WITH INCROWD? (US MEMBERS)
Online Surveys: Because payments to physicians for participating in pharmaceutical and medical device marketing research are typically made by research companies, in this case by
InCrowd, rather than manufacturer-sponsors, and to health care professionals whose identities are unknown to the manufacturer-sponsors, those payments are, in most cases, excluded from reporting under the Sunshine Act law: SEC. 1128G (e)(10)(A). In the rare circumstance in which your payment needs to be reported to the manufacturer-sponsors and subsequently to the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, InCrowd will do so in accordance with our terms and conditions.
Qualitative Interviews: There is a slim chance that during a qualitative interview a member might accidentally give his or her name or may be recognizable by voice. Because of this remote chance, we err on the side of caution, and you will be prompted to agree to the Sunshine Act before the interview.
WHAT IS MY RESPONSIBILITY AS A CROWD MEMBER?
As a member of our research network, we ask that you provide honest and complete information as part of your profile and include clear, and timely responses to the surveys and interviews that you participate in. You can participate in as many or as few surveys as you would like. If you would like to participate, please respond to surveys as soon as you receive an invitation and give thoughtful, clear responses to questions.
HOW CAN I UPDATE MY INFORMATION?
To update personal or professional information, or to check on surveys and rewards, please login access your member account and select the ‘Profile’ tab. Some items will need to be updated by team member, if you need assistance, email support@incrowdnow.com.
HOW DO I UNSUBSCRIBE?
Members can unsubscribe at any time. Every survey invitation will include an immediate unsubscribe link which will stop emails coming to your email address. In addition, you can discontinue your membership at any time by visiting your member portal and selecting Account tab and then Account Status. From there you can close your account.
HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE ME TO ANSWER EACH SURVEY?
The majority of the surveys can be answered in about 10 minutes. Our interviews can take between 15-60 minutes. Interviews are scheduled at a time that you select that is convenient for you. In every invitation, you will be informed of the expected time to complete the survey so that you can plan accordingly.
HOW OFTEN WILL I GET SURVEYS?
Survey invitations are dependent upon survey availability and your professional background and specialty. If you have concerns over the frequency of your survey invitations, please contact support@incrowdnow.com.
HOW WILL I BE COMPENSATED WHEN I ANSWER A SURVEY?
You will earn rewards every time you answer a survey. Once you’ve hit your minimum redemption threshold, you can log in and redeem your rewards. At any time, you can review your Payments tab for balances and earning and redemption history. You may choose to receive an e-gift card via Tango or PayPal when you redeem your rewards. To learn more about rewards please see the Reward Wallet section below.
WHEN WILL I RECEIVE PAYMENT FOR MY INTERVIEW?
Payment for completed interviews will be added to your account 24 hours after you have completed the interview. For example, if you complete your interview January 1st at 12:30pm ET you will see the payment in your account 12:30pm ET on January 2nd.
WHAT DO I NEED TO KNOW ABOUT MY REWARDS WALLET?
How do I redeem my rewards?
You earn rewards for your research participation. Rewards have no monetary value until you redeem them. Once you have 25 or more in your Rewards Wallet in your account you will be able to redeem. You can visit the ‘Payments’ tab in your account to see your rewards and see your options for redemptions. You may choose to receive an e-gift card via Tango or PayPal when you redeem your rewards. If you select PayPal, make sure your payment email with OpinionSite is reflective of your PayPal email address.
What is Tango and PayPal?
Tango: Tango is an electronic gift card service that allows you to choose from many e-gift card options, including Amazon and more. You can only redeem once per day. For Tango you can redeem up to $1,000 per transaction, per day in incremental selections. You do not need to create a Tango account. Your e-gift card code will be sent to the payment email listed under the Payments tab on your account.
PayPal: You must have an account with PayPal and have the email associated with your PayPal account be the same one you list as your payment email address in your OpinionSite profile. You can redeem once a day with an overall cap of $2,500 per week and $10,000 per month. Adding a mailing address to your PayPal account makes certain there will be no delay in receiving your rewards. You should see the payment within 12 hours.
I did not receive my gift card.
Your Tango gift card will come from the email: noreply@tangocard.com. Please check your Spam or Junk folder as sometimes your gift card will end up there. Occasionally mail servers misclassify the email with the e-gift card link as spam. If you do not see a message from Tango in your spam folder, please reach out via support@incrowdnow.com
Can you send a check?
No, we do not offer checks as a method of redemption. Please choose the payment method that works best for you. Tango offers e-gift card selections. PayPal will send redeemed rewards directly to your PayPal account.
Do I need to pay taxes on my redemptions?
If you are in the US, and you redeem $600 or more of your earned rewards in a calendar year, you will be prompted in your account to complete a W9 form. We are required to collect these forms by the federal government, and we may need to prevent future redemptions if we do not receive the requested form. You do not need to contact us to know if you must submit a form. You can view the Tax information section of your account at any time to see your status or submit a W9. Once you’ve hit the $599 mark, at your next redemption, you will be prompted to submit a W9 before you can proceed with that redemption. You can track all your Reward earnings and redemptions in your Payments tab.
PayPal and Tax Filing – Beginning in 2024, PayPal will be the responsible entity for transactions made through PayPal regardless of where the money was earned. PayPal will be responsible for issuing 1099s as well for individuals who are eligible for filing and surpass the $600 threshold. This will be inclusive of your redemptions from your Rewards Wallet with InCrowd and OpinionSite and we will no longer issue 1099s for rewards redeemed exclusively via PayPal. However, we are still obligated to have a W9 on file for anyone who redeems over $600 in rewards even if we don’t file a 1099.
If you are outside the US, it is up to you to report any taxable income in accordance with your local government guidelines.
Fee for accounts with more than 10,000 unredeemed Rewards.
If your account holds more than 10,000 in unredeemed Rewards, a 1% maintenance fee of the total balance may be applied to your account monthly. You will be notified in your profile anytime you are over 9,000 in unredeemed Rewards value. If you maintain a balance under 10,000 unredeemed Rewards, you will not have the fee applied.
IS THERE A REFERRAL PROGRAM?
Yes, we have a Refer a Colleague program for our members. You may become eligible for the program once they’ve been a member for at least three months and have completed multiple surveys. Once eligible you’ll be notified via email or SMS and have access to a new tab in the portal with information about the program and a unique referral link. We are continuing to expand the program, but if you are not yet a member and would like to refer, reach out via support@incrowdnow.com or the chat feature.

HOW QUICKLY CAN I EXPECT TO REACH MY SAMPLE SIZE AND COMPLETE MY SURVEY?
While approximately 50% of InCrowd surveys complete within the first two hours, each survey is different. Reaching your sample size and closing your survey will depend on how many healthcare professionals you need responses from, as well as the overall size of your target Crowd.
InCrowd’s sampling algorithm constantly randomizes and refreshes samples, sending out waves of survey invites every 30 minutes, gauging response rates, and inviting new members as needed to fill the survey.
CAN YOU RECRUIT A CROWD FROM MY CUSTOM LIST?
Yes. We can import your existing list of respondents into our platform for you to use in your surveys.
CAN I SEGMENT THE CROWD SO I CAN TARGET MY QUESTIONS TO A VERY SPECIFIC AUDIENCE?
Yes, we have several filters built into the platform (including specialty, age, practice setting, years in practice, location, to name a few) that allow you to segment or “micro-profile” your Crowd before you begin. Additionally, you have the ability to ask large groups of respondents custom screening questions and then ask the intended question only to those who responded in a particular way (for example, oncologists who have prescribed Taxol in the last 3 weeks).
HOW DO I KNOW THE CROWD ANSWERING MY QUESTIONS ARE WHO THEY SAY THEY ARE?
All healthcare respondents are prescreened and triple-verified as licensed clinicians and healthcare professionals, with dozens of new member applications rejected each month for not meeting our stringent criteria. The most progressive and industry-standard screening rigors are applied to InCrowd respondents.
WHAT TYPES OF MEDICAL PROFESSIONALS DOES INCROWD HAVE ACCESS TO?
InCrowd has access to nearly 2 million healthcare professionals worldwide, including all major physician specialists, nurses, managed care professionals, pharmacists, and patients, among others.
IS MY DATA SECURE?
Yes, all data from InCrowd research is kept private and confidential (see our Privacy and Security information). Our default platform settings allow data from your surveys to be viewed only by you. However, you can change these settings to allow data sharing with other users and people within your organization.
HOW DO I GET MY DATA REPORTING AND RESULTS?
Responses come into the platform in real time and you will see these immediately tabulated in your dashboard. You can view data visualizations on your smartphone or computer. They will be based on the type of question asked, with comments listed below the graphs. The results update automatically as new responses are received. You can export the results to Excel, PowerPoint or a PDF document.
HOW DO I CREATE A MICROSURVEY?
Creating a microsurvey is easy! Log into your dashboard, select “New Survey,” select the type of question(s) you want to ask and complete the predefined template. InCrowd is designed to auto-format your questions for easy answering and results tabulation.

Answers expire one year after the original date of purchase.
HOW MUCH DOES IT COST TO USE INCROWD?
InCrowd works on a flexible subscription model that lets you keep up with your timelines and budget. You can purchase annual and quarterly subscriptions, usually priced on a per-answer basis (a credit). You also have the option to purchase answers on a one-off project basis. The most cost effective option is to purchase a subscription, as the price-per-answer drops as the number of answers purchased increases. In addition, price-per-answer is dependent upon various variables, such as specialty or complexity of Crowd, nature of condition or treatment, countries being reached, etc. We’re happy to design a subscription that meets your needs.
HOW CAN I GET ACCESS TO THE INCROWD PLATFORM AND PRESCREENED CROWDS OF HEALTHCARE PROFESSIONALS?
We offer subscription-based access defined by the number of answers you purchase, as well as access defined by the number of answers required to address your research needs.
HOW ARE CREDITS DEFINED?
The credit system is simple: 1 credit is equal to 1 answer to 1 question. For example, five questions going out to 20 oncologists = 100 credits. As noted above, the cost per credit is dependent upon many factors. Two free screening questions are always included on every survey in every subscription?
